Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and gout arthritis are types of joint disease that often occur in the elderly in Indonesia. Inflammation of one or more joints is known as arthritis (arthritis). In general, there are two methods that can be used to treat rheumatic pain, namely pharmacological therapy and non-pharmacological therapy. Non-pharmacological pain management is an intervention that can be carried out in reducing pain response without using pharmacological therapy. Other alternative options in relieving pain when carrying out nursing interventions include deep breathing relaxation and warm ginger compress therapy. In the application of this scientific work carried out for 3 days in each session carried out for 15-20 minutes. Before administering non-pharmacological therapy, an assessment of the characteristics and scale of pain was carried out using the Numeric Rating Scale and Wong Baker measuring instruments. The evaluation results obtained since the initial assessment carried out showed a decrease in the pain scale with NRS having decreased from 6 to 3 and Wong Baker 6 to 2. There were also changes in behavior at the end of the meeting, where the client's way of walking was much better and able to independently carry out light activities in the absence of pain
