Pengaruh Kumur-Kumur Larutan Daun Binahong ( Adredera Cordofolia Ten Stennis ) Terhadap Penyembuhan Gingivitis Pada Siswa SMP 13 Cempaka Banjarbaru

Di Indonesia penyakit periodontal menduduki urutan kedua utama yang masih merupakan masalah di Indonesia, gingivitis merupakan salah satu dari penyakit periodontal tersebut dan hampir 80% mengenai anak usia muda. mengingat pentingnya kebersihan gigi dan mulut terutama didaerah cervik gigi , maka perlu perhatian untuk pencegahan yang maksimal. Prevalensi gingivitis yang terjadi pada anak usia 3 tahun dibawah 5%, sedangkan pada usia 6 tahun 50% dan angka yang tertinggi adalah 90% pada anak dengan usia diatas 10 tahun.(Putri dkk, 2011). Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Larutan daun binahong (Anrdera Cordofolia Ten Steenis ) 15% terhadap penyembuhan gingivitis pada Siswa SMPN 13 Cempaka Banjarbaru
Jenis penelitian ini bersifat analitik dengan rancangan eksperimen semu (quasi experimental), sebagai akibat dari adanya perlakuan tertentu, rancangan penelitian pretest-postest. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SMPN 13 Cempaka Banjarbaru dengan jumlah 189 orang. Sampel penelitian diambil secara teknik Purposive Sampling dimana teknik pengambilan sampel didasarkan pada suatu pertimbangan tertentu yang dibuat sendiri berdasarkan ciri dan sifat-sifat populasi yang sudah diketahui sebelumnya. Sampel penilitian berjumlah 60 orang .
Hasil penelitian dengan uji paired sampel Test, nilai P. 0.000 < dari Alfa 0.05,menunjukkan ada pengaruh kumur-kumur larutan daun binahong 15% terhadap penyembuhan gingivitis pada SMP N 13 Cempaka Banjarbaru.
Ada pengaruh kumur-kumur dengan larutan daun binahong15% terhadap penyembuhan gingivitis. Disarankan gunakanlah larutan daun binahong 15%, dengan tetap melaksanakan pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut, yaitu periksa gigi 6 bulan sekali, dan teratur menggosok gigi dengan cara yang baik dan benar.
